Disassembly

When service oil pump leaks, refer to "Transmission Pump Leaks" in "Service Bulletins."

1. Use seal remover tool No. J-23129 and slide hammer tool No. J-6125-1 B or equivalent to remove seal.






2. Remove retaining ring (211).

3. Remove pressure regulator and boost valve assemblies. Regulator spring is tightly compressed, use care when removing bushing.

4. Remove pump cover to body attaching bolts and the cover.

5. Mark relation of pump gears to body, then remove gears.

6. Remove straight pin and valve bore plug.

7. Remove oil seal ring and thrust washer.
