Front Engine Mounts
REMOVE OR DISCONNECT
1. Fan shroud.
2. Raise the vehicle. Support with suitable safety stands.
3. Right wheel.
4. Engine mounting through-bolts on both sides.
CAUTION When raising or supporting the engine for any reason, do not use a jack under the oil pan any sheet metal or the crankshaft pulley. Due to the small clearance between the oil pan and the oil pump screen, jacking against the oil pan may cause it to be bent against the pump screen, resulting in a damaged oil pickup unit.
5. Raise the engine and block in position.
6. Tie rod at the drag link.
7. Stabilizer link from the control arm.
8. Lower shock absorber bolts.
9. Lower control arm pivot bolts. Lower the control arm.
10. Engine mounting to frame bolts.
11. Engine mounting.
INSTALL OR CONNECT
1. Engine mounting to the frame.
2. Engine mounting to frame bolts and nuts.
Tighten
^ Bolt to 56 Nm (41 ft. lbs.).
^ Nut to 47 Nm (35 ft. lbs.).
3. Lower control arm pivot bolts.
4. Lower shock absorber bolts.
5. Stabilizer link to the control arm.
6. Tie rod to the drag link.
7. Lower the engine
8. Engine mounting through-bolts.
Tighten
^ Through-bolt nuts to 115 Nm (85 ft. lbs.) or nuts to 72 Nm (53 ft. lbs.).
9. Right wheel.
10. Lower the vehicle.
11. Fan shroud.
