Slipping or Rough 3-4 Shift


1. 3-4 accumulator spring, missing.
2. 3-4 piston porosity.
3. Accumulator feed passages, restricted.
4. 3-4 accumulator piston oil seal ring, broken.
5. Accumulator case bore damaged.
6. Servo band apply incorrect.
7. Servo piston seals damaged or missing.
8. Servo piston bores damaged.
9. Servo piston porosity.
10. 3-4 Clutch burned. (Refer to 2-3 slip for other clutch diagnosis.)
11. 2-4 band burned.
12. Valve body 2-3 shift valve train, sticking.
13. Accumulator valve sticking.
14. Valve body gaskets or spacer plate improperly positioned.
15. Valve body throttle valve sticking.
16. Throttle valve (TV) limit valve sticking.
