Battery Positive Cable Replacement - Auxiliary

REMOVAL PROCEDURE

CAUTION: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution in Service Precautions.




1. Disconnect the battery negative cable from the battery.
2. Disconnect the battery negative cable from the auxiliary battery.
3. Disconnect the battery positive cable from the junction block.




4. Remove the battery positive cable retainers from the frame.
5. Disconnect the battery positive cable from the auxiliary battery.
6. Remove the battery positive cable from the vehicle.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Install the battery positive cable to the vehicle.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

2. Connect the battery positive cable to the auxiliary battery.

Tighten
Tighter the auxiliary battery positive cable to 15 N.m (11 lb ft).

3. Install the battery positive cable retainers to the frame.




4. Connect the battery positive cable to the junction block.

Tighten
Tighten the nut to 8 N.m (71 lb in).

5. Connect the battery negative cable to the auxiliary battery.

Tighten
Tighten the bolt to 15 N.m (11 lb ft).

6. Connect the battery negative cable to the battery.

Tighten
Tighten the bolt to 17 N.m (13 lb ft).
