Radiator Hose Replacement-Outlet
Removal ProcedureCaution: In order to help avoid being burned, do not remove the radiator cap while the engine and the radiator are hot. Scalding fluid and steam can be blown out under pressure if the cap is removed too soon.
1. Drain the engine coolant. Refer to Draining and Filling Cooling System.
2. Loosen and reposition the hose clamps (1) at the radiator outlet, and the thermostat housing.
3. Remove the radiator outlet hose.
Installation Procedure
1. Position a new hose clamp (1) on each end of the new radiator outlet hose.
2. Install the new radiator outlet hose to the thermostat housing and to the radiator.
3. Secure the hose with the hose clamps (1).
4. Fill the radiator with an approved coolant. Refer to Draining and Filling Cooling System.
