Removal Procedure

- Tools Required
- J24319-B Universal Steering Linkage Puller
1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Vehicle Lifting.
2. Remove the tire and wheel assembly. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation in Tires and Wheels.

Caution: To prevent personal injury and/or component damage, use the proper tools to support the lower control arm when removing the coil spring. The coil spring is under extreme pressure and can become a projectile should the spring separate from the lower control arm before all of the tension is relieved.





3. Support the lower control arm (11) with a jack.
4. Remove the ball stud nut (2).
5. Use the J24319-B in order to separate the lower control arm ball stud (5) from the knuckle (1).





6. Remove the following components in order to separate the stabilizer shaft link from the lower control arm:
- The stabilizer shaft nut (1)
- the washer (2)
- The bushing (3)





7. While lowering the floor jack, remove the coil spring (2).
