Installation Procedure
Important: When seating the coil spring, mate the spring end with the stepped part (4) of the rear axle spring seat (3).1. Install the coil spring (1) on the spring seat (3) of the axle housing (2). Raise the axle housing.
Important: DO NOT tighten the nuts and bolts. The weight of the vehicle must be on the tires and wheels before tightening the nuts and bolts.
2. Install the shock absorber lower bolt (2). The bolt should be toward the center of the body, and the nut should be towards the outside of the body.
3. If the vehicle has ABS, install the wheel speed sensor clamps (2).
4. Install the E-ring to the right rear brake pipe.
5. Connect the breather hose to the axle housing.
6. Connect the park brake cable hanger (1) to the chassis frame (2) and clamp the hanger to the cross member.
7. Remove the floor jack from the axle housing.
8. Lower the vehicle. Verify that the weight of the vehicle is on the tires and wheels.
9. Install a new shock absorber nut.
- Tighten the shock absorber lower nut to 85 Nm (61.5 ft. lbs..
