Fuel Mixer Replacement

REMOVAL PROCEDURE




1. Remove the air cleaner outlet duct.
2. Remove the retaining clamp (2) from the assembly.
3. Separate the fuel mixer housing (1) from the throttle body adapter (3).




4. Remove the fuel mixer retaining bolts (6).
5. Separate the fuel mixer (1) from the throttle body adapter.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Install the fuel mixer (1) into the throttle body adapter (2) ensuring that all mounting surfaces are clean.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

2. Install the fuel mixer retaining bolts (6).

Tighten
Tighten the fuel mixer retaining bolts to 4 N.m (35 lb in).




3. Attach the fuel mixer housing (1) to the throttle body adapter (3) using the retaining clamp (2).

Tighten
Tighten the clamp to 2 N.m (18 lb in).

4. Install the air cleaner Outlet duct.
