Radiator Hose Replacement- InletRemoval Procedure
1. Partially drain the engine coolant.
2. Remove the air cleaner assembly.
3. Remove the radiator inlet hose from the radiator.
4. If equipped with 4.3L, remove the radiator inlet hose from the water outlet.
5. If equipped with 5.0L or 5.7L, remove the radiator inlet hose from the water outlet.
6. If equipped with 6.5L, remove the radiator inlet hose from the water outlet.
7. If equipped with 8.1 L, remove the radiator inlet hose from the water outlet.
Installation Procedure
Important: The radiator hoses use a spring-type clamp at the hose connections. When using this type of clamp, install the radiator hoses on dry, non-painted surfaces in order to ensure proper sealing. Reusing the spring-type clamps on aftermarket hoses is not recommended.
1. If equipped with 4.3L, install the radiator inlet hose to the water outlet.
2. If equipped with 5.0L or 5.7L, install the radiator inlet hose to the water outlet. Ensure the radiator hose is properly seated in the hose bracket.
3. If equipped with 6.5L, install the radiator inlet hose to the water outlet. Ensure the radiator hose is properly seated in the hose bracket.
4. If equipped with 8.1L, install the radiator inlet hose to the water outlet.
5. Install the radiator inlet hose to the radiator.
6. Install the air cleaner assembly.
7. Fill the engine coolant.
8. Inspect for coolant leaks.
