Oil Cooler Replacement
Removal Procedure





1. Drain the cooling system. Refer to Draining and Filling Cooling System (Static Fill) Draining and Filling Cooling System (GE 47716 Fill).
2. Reposition the oil cooler outlet hose clamps at the thermostat housing and oil cooler.
3. Remove the oil cooler outlet hose from the thermostat housing and oil cooler.





4. Reposition the radiator outlet hose clamp (2) at the oil cooler.
5. Remove the radiator outlet hose from the oil cooler.





6. Remove the oil cooler bolts.
7. Remove the oil cooler.

Installation Procedure





1. Position the oil cooler to the engine block.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice.

2. Install the oil cooler bolts.
Tighten the bolts to 22 Nm (16 ft. lbs.).





3. Install the radiator outlet hose to the oil cooler.
4. Position the radiator outlet hose clamp (2) at the oil cooler.





5. Install the oil cooler outlet hose to the thermostat housing and oil cooler.
6. Position the oil cooler outlet hose clamps at the thermostat housing and oil cooler.
7. Fill the cooling system. Refer to Draining and Filling Cooling System (Static Fill) Draining and Filling Cooling System (GE 47716 Fill).
