Transmission Housing Oil Seal Replacement - Rear (RWD)

Tools Required

J 45868 RWD Output Shaft Seal Installer

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the rear propeller shaft. Refer to Propeller Shaft Replacement - One Piece or - Two Piece.




2. Using a suitable tool, pry the rear transmission housing oil seal from the transmission housing.

Installation Procedure




1. Using the J 45868 and a hammer, install the NEW rear transmission housing oil seal.
2. Check the transmission fluid level. Add if necessary. Refer to Transmission Fluid Replacement.
3. Install the rear propeller shaft. Refer to Propeller Shaft Replacement - One Piece or - Two Piece.
