Circuit/System Description
The left and right rear passenger heated seats are controlled by separate heated seat switches located in the auxiliary heater and air conditioning control module. The heated seats operate in the high and low modes for the seat cushion only. When a heated seat switch is pressed, the auxiliary heater and air conditioning control module illuminates appropriate switch indicators and sends a serial data message to the rear heated seat module (RHSM) indicating the heated seat request. The RHSM then determines the mode of operation and turns the heated seat system ON or OFF.
