Stabilizer Shaft Link Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle.




2. Remove the stabilizer shaft link nut and bolt from the frame bracket.
3. Remove the stabilizer shaft link nut from the ball stud.
4. Remove the stabilizer shaft link.

Installation Procedure




1. Install the stabilizer shaft link.

Important: When tightening the lower link nut, verify that the inner jam nut bottoms out on the ball stud. To ensure that the nut does not back away during the tightening process, hold the stud with the appropriate tool.




2. Install the stabilizer shaft link nut to the ball stud.





Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice.

3. Install the stabilizer shaft link nut and bolt to the frame bracket.
1. Tighten the link to frame bracket nut to 75 N.m (55 lb ft).
2. Tighten the ball stud to stabilizer shaft nut to 75 N.m (55 lb ft).
3. Tighten the stabilizer shaft link to the stabilizer shaft to 145 N.m (107 lb ft).
4. Lower the vehicle.
