Circuit/System Description
The body control module (BCM) sends a serial data message when the brake pedal is applied. The electronic brake control module (EBCM) compares the brake pressure sensor values to ensure they agree with the brake pedal applied signal.
Conditions for Running the DTC
Ignition ON.
Conditions for Setting the DTC
* Brake signal does not correlate to pressure signal.
* Signal is erratic and changes faster than physically allowed.
Action Taken When the DTC Sets
* The Traction Control indicator turns ON.
* The driver information center (DIC) displays the Service Stability System message.
Conditions for Clearing the DTC
The EBCM clears the history DTC when a current DTC is not detected in 100 consecutive drive cycles.
