Exhaust Seal Replacement (LLV/LLR)

Removal Procedure
Warning: Refer to Exhaust Service Warning Exhaust Service Warning.

Warning: Refer to Protective Goggles and Glove Warning Protective Goggles and Glove Warning.


1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle Service and Repair.




2. Remove the 3 nuts attaching the catalytic converter to the exhaust manifold.
3. Position the exhaust system rearward, enough to allow clearance to remove the seal.




4. Remove the exhaust manifold seal from the exhaust manifold flange. Discard the seal.

Installation Procedure




1. Install the NEW seal to the exhaust manifold flange.




2. Position the catalytic converter to the exhaust manifold.

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution Fastener Caution.

3. Install the 3 nuts attaching the catalytic converter to the exhaust manifold and tighten to 50 Nm (37 lb ft).
4. Lower the vehicle.
