Parking Brake Cable Equalizer Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Disable the park brake cable automatic adjuster. Refer to Parking Brake Cable Adjuster Disabling Parking Brake Cable Adjuster Disabling.

2. Raise the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle Service and Repair.





3. Remove the equalizer.

Installation Procedure





1. Install the equalizer.

2. Lower the vehicle.

3. Enable the park brake cable automatic adjuster. Refer to Parking Brake Cable Adjuster Enabling Parking Brake Cable Adjuster Enabling.

4. Check the adjustment. Refer to Parking Brake Adjustment (With Dual Rear Wheel) Parking Brake Adjustment (With Dual Rear Wheel)Parking Brake Adjustment (Without Dual Rear Wheel) Parking Brake Adjustment (Without Dual Rear Wheel).
