Transmission Fluid Auxiliary Cooler Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the grille assembly. Refer to Grille Replacement (Base) Grille Replacement (Base)Grille Replacement (Uplevel) Grille Replacement (Uplevel).

2. If equipped with an ambient temperature sensor, remove it from the bracket. Refer to Ambient Air Temperature Gauge Sensor Replacement Service and Repair

3. Place a drain pan under the vehicle.

4. Remove the cooler kit assembly, if equipped.

5. Disconnect the transmission oil cooler lines from the auxiliary oil cooler.

6. Remove the oil cooler lines from the auxiliary oil cooler. Refer to Transmission Fluid Cooler Hose/Pipe Replacement Transmission Fluid Cooler Hose/Pipe Replacement.





7. Remove the 4 bolts securing the auxiliary oil cooler to the radiator support.

8. Remove the auxiliary oil cooler.

Installation Procedure





Caution:
Refer to Fastener Caution Fastener Caution.

1. Install the 4 bolts securing the oil cooler to the radiator support and tighten to 10 Nm (89 lb in).

2. Install the oil cooler lines to the auxiliary oil cooler and tighten to 23 Nm (17 lb ft). Refer to Transmission Fluid Cooler Hose/Pipe Replacement Transmission Fluid Cooler Hose/Pipe Replacement.

3. Install the cooler kit assembly, if equipped.

4. Remove the drain pan.

5. If equipped with an ambient temperature sensor, install it to the bracket. Refer to Ambient Air Temperature Gauge Sensor Replacement Service and Repair

6. Install the grille assembly. Refer to Grille Replacement (Base) Grille Replacement (Base)Grille Replacement (Uplevel) Grille Replacement (Uplevel).
