Front Crankshaft Seal: Service and Repair

CAUTION: Do not nick shaft seal surface or seal bore.

Removal

Timing Belt, Sprocket, And Seals:

Crankshaft, Intermediate Shaft, Camshaft Oil Seal Removal:

1. Remove right hand engine mount.
2. Remove all oil control seals with factory tool (C-4679) or equivalent.


Installation

Installing Crankshaft, Intermediate Shaft, And Camshaft Seal:

1. Shaft seal lip surface must be free of varnish, dirt or nicks. If needed polish sealing surface with #400 grit paper.
2. Install all seals, with factory tool (C-4680) or equivalent.
3. Install engine mount.
