Air Dryer: Service and Repair

NOTE: Open trunk, door(s) or disconnect battery ground cable before raising vehicle. Rear air springs must be deflated before being removed from vehicle.

1. Remove compressor assembly. Refer to COMPRESSOR ASSEMBLY.
2. Remove air dryer mounting screw.
3. Rotate air dryer assembly 90° to release retaining tangs from exhaust solenoid housing, then remove air dryer assembly.
4. Reverse procedure to install, noting the following:
a. Inspect O-ring for damage and location on air dryer.
b. Insert and index air dryer locking tangs into exhaust solenoid outlet.
c. Rotate air dryer assembly to lock into position.
