A/C Suction Hose/Line Replacement




REMOVAL
1. Remove refrigerant from the A/C system using a refrigerant recovery machine. Refer to: Heating and Air Conditioning, Service and Repair, Refrigerant System Evacuate, Refrigerant System Evacuate

2. Remove one nut holding suction line at expansion valve.

CAUTION: Cap all lines that are not being replaced and cap the expansion valve tubes.

3. Remove bolt holding line at compressor using M10 Hex.
4. Remove line by pulling rear end of line up out of vehicle with compressor end following through the tie-rod area.

NOTE: The 2 piece suction line is held in place with a 10mm nut (mid-line fastener) torqued to 5ft-lbs.

INSTALLATION
- For installation, reverse the above procedures. Tighten TXV and compressor fasteners to Rail screw and mid-line nut to 7 N.m (5ft-lbs).
