SYMPTOM/CONDITION:

There are several issues identified that can cause poor heater performance. These issues are broken up into two basic categories, those in which the engine achieves temperature but heater performance remains poor and those in which the engine does not achieve temperature or achieves temperature intermittently. This TSB is a guide to assist in determining the root cause of the problem. This TSB is divided into two sections to provide specific information about both power trains (2.7L and 3.2L). Some of the information is common to both power trains and is repeated for each.
