SYMPTOM/CONDITION:
One or both of the heated seat cushions may not function.
DIAGNOSIS:
Turn ignition to the "ON" position. Test one seat at a time. Heated seat switch LED's should be off. If one or both LED"s are on, perform the Repair Procedure. if the LED's are off, press the heated seat patch area (right rear corner of seat cover near the center pleated area) on the seat cushion. If pressing on the seat cover produces any changes in the switch LED's, perform the Repair Procedure.
If no LED's come on, press the switch to "HI" position (yellow LED must come on). Press on the heated seat patch area, if LED's change, perform the Repair Procedure. Turn switch off by pressing the "HI" switch position again (yellow LED should go out). If LED does not go out, perform the Repair Procedure. Repeat this test with the "LO" LED switch position and the other seat.

REPAIR PROCEDURE:
This bulletin involves replacing the front seat heated cushion covers as necessary.
1. Remove seat from vehicle.
2. Remove cushion side shields.
3. Remove seat back.
4. Disengage J-strap attaching seat cover from the seat cushion frame.
5. Disconnect seat cushion seat heat element harness from seat pan.
6. Disconnect seat cushion heater element connector.
7. Pull cover and foam from frame.
8. Peal up cover from foam and cut hog rings attaching seat cover to seat cushion.
9. Separate seat cushion cover from seat cushion foam.
10. To install new seat cover, reverse above procedure. Be sure to reposition seat anti-squeak sheet to frame.
