1265-01 REAR SPOILER SWITCH SENSE CIRCUIT





When Monitored and Set Condition

- When Monitored: Continuous.
- Set Condition: The Body Control Module (BCM) sense a short to power or a short to ground on the Rear Spoiler Switch Sense circuit for more than 20 seconds.

Diagnostic Test

1. REAR SPOILER SWITCH SENSE CIRCUIT SHORT TO B(+)




Turn the ignition off.
Disconnect the BCM C4 harness connector.

NOTE: Check connectors - Clean/repair as necessary.

Turn the ignition on.
Measure the voltage of the Rear Spoiler Switch Sense circuit at the BCM C4 harness connector.
Is voltage above 1.0 volts?

Yes

- Repair the Rear Spoiler Switch Sense circuit for a short to B(+).
- Perform REAR SPOILER VERIFICATION TEST. Rear Spoiler Verification Test

No

- Go to 2

2. BCM




Turn the ignition off.
Measure the resistance between ground and the Rear Spoiler Switch Sense circuit at the BCM C4 harness connector.
Is the resistance below 100K ohms?

Yes

- Go to 3

No

- Replace the Body Control Module.Body Control Module - Removal.
- Perform REAR SPOILER VERIFICATION TEST. Rear Spoiler Verification Test

3. REAR SPOILER SWITCH SENSE CIRCUIT SHORT TO GROUND




With the ignition off.
Disconnect the Rear Spoiler Switch harness connector.

NOTE: Check connectors - Clean/repair as necessary.

Measure the resistance between ground and the Rear Spoiler Switch Sense circuit at the BCM C4 harness connector.
Is the resistance below 100K ohms?

Yes

- Repair the Rear Spoiler Switch Sense circuit for a short to ground.
- Perform REAR SPOILER VERIFICATION TEST. Rear Spoiler Verification Test

No

- Replace the Rear Spoiler Switch.
- Perform REAR SPOILER VERIFICATION TEST. Rear Spoiler Verification Test
