- When Monitored: Ignition on.
- Set Condition: The Sentry Key Remote Entry Module (SKREEM) detects an ignition key micro-chip malfunction.

Diagnostic Test

1. WITH THE SCAN TOOL, READ DTCs
Turn the ignition on.
With the scan tool, record and erase DTCs.
Turn the ignition off.
Turn the ignition on.
With the scan tool, read DTCs.
Does the scan tool display the 1703-00 Key Fob Invalid DTC?

Yes

- Replace the Ignition Key.
- Perform SENTRY KEY VERIFICATION TEST. Vehicle Theft Security Verification Tests

No

- The condition that caused this DTC to set is currently not present. Inspect the related wiring harness for a possible intermittent condition.
