Pressure Hose - 3.8L
REMOVAL
1. Remove negative (-) battery cable from battery and isolate cable.
2. Remove cap from power steering fluid reservoir.
3. Using a siphon pump, remove as much power steering fluid as possible from power steering fluid reservoir.
NOTE: The tube nut on the pump end of the pressure hose is a quick-connect fitting.
4. Unthread quick-connect fitting (tube nut) (2) and remove pressure hose at pump (1).
5. Raise and support vehicle. Maintenance
6. Remove wheel mounting nuts (3), then right front tire and wheel assembly (1).
7. Remove drive belt splash shield.
8. Remove nut, then hose tube routing clamp (2) above A/C compressor (3).
9. Remove routing clip (2) securing return hose (1) to pressure hose (3) near drive belt.
10. Remove screw securing pressure (1) and return (3) hose clamps to right side of engine cradle (2).
11. Remove tie-strap clip (1) securing pressure hose to engine cradle.
12. Remove tube nut fastening pressure hose (3) to power steering gear (1). Remove hose from gear port.
13. Remove pressure hose from vehicle.
