A. Install Jack Pilot Pin

1. Open the jack storage area at the rear of the vehicle and remove the jack.





2. Remove and discard the current jack extension (Figure 1).

3. Remove the paper backing from the supplied foam washer and install the foam washer on the new jack pilot pin.





4. install the jack pilot pin on the jack assembly (Figure 2). Secure it with the supplied clip.

5. Apply the provided Jacking Label (PN FE-1647-001) onto the inside of the jack storage compartment cover.

6. Select the appropriate Jacking Label (PN FE-1646-002 for long wheelbase models or PN FE-1646-003 for short wheelbase vehicles). Apply the label over the existing Jacking Compartment Cover Instructions.

7. Secure the jack in the storage compartment and install the storage compartment cover.

8. Place the provided Jacking Instruction Card (PN FE-1648-001) in the glove box Owner's Manual folder.
