B. Replace Hoist Jacking Pads
IMPORTANT:Not all vehicles require hoist pad installation. Dodge Caravan LE, Caravan ES, Grand Caravan LE and Grand Caravan ES models are equipped with lower body side cladding and already have the larger hoist pads.
1. Remove and discard the two (2) existing rear hoist pads (Figure 3).
2. Install the two (2) new rear hoist jacking pads. Locate the pads on the sill aligning the nib on the pad with the rear sill pin (Figure 4). The pads should be installed with the text facing toward the outside of the vehicle and with the nib end of the block closest to the tire.
3. Install the two (2) new front hoist jacking pads. Locate the pads on the sill aligning the nib on the pad with the front sill pin (Figure 4). The pads should be installed with the text facing toward the outside of the vehicle and with the nib end of the block closest to the tire.
