Repair Procedure 1 - Shock Absorber Replacement

1. With the vehicle on a frame contact hoist, position a jack stand under the rear axle so it just comes into contact with the rear axle.

2. Begin removal of the lower rear shock absorber bolt. If the bolt deflects upward or downward, adjust the jack stand accordingly. Remove the lower rear shock bolt.

3. While holding the rear shock, remove the upper rear shock bolt, then remove the shock from the vehicle.

4. Install a revised rear shock as specified in the Parts Required section of this bulletin.

5. Repeat steps 2 thru 4 for the other side rear shock.

6. Remove the jack stand from under the rear axle and vehicle. Lower the vehicle.
