Verification Test VER-1A - Air Bag

1. Connect a scan tool to the data link connector -- using current software.
2. Remove all jumper wires used during testing.
3. Connect all disconnected components -- except the battery.
4. Turn ignition ON.
5. Connect the battery.
6. Erase stored codes -- using scan tool.
7. Turn ignition OFF, then turn ignition ON -- engine OFF.
8. Read codes using scan tool.
9. Are there any active codes?
- YES -- Perform Airbag System Test 1A 1A Identifying Airbag System Problems
- NO -- Continue to step 10.
10. Read stored codes using scan tool.
11. Are there any active codes?
- YES -- Perform Airbag System Test 1A 1A Identifying Airbag System Problems
- NO -- System is functioning properly at this time.
