1. Relieve fuel system pressure, refer to MAINTENANCE PROCEDURES/FUEL SYSTEM PRESSURE RELIEF.
2. Drain engine coolant.
3. Remove intake air plenum, refer to INTAKE AIR PLENUM.
4. Remove intake manifold in sequence shown in Fig. 15.
5. Reverse procedure to install, noting the following:
a. Install intake manifold gaskets with protrusion position as shown, Fig. 16.
b. Torque intake manifold front bank nuts to 2.2 - 3.6 lb-ft.
c. Torque intake manifold rear bank nuts to 9-11 lb-ft.
d. Torque intake manifold front bank nuts to 9-11 lb-ft.
e. Repeat steps c and d one more time.
