Throttle Body: Description and Operation

Throttle Body:

PURPOSE
The Throttle Body houses the throttle valve and the idle air bypass passages. It also serves as a mounting platform for the Idle Speed Control Servo (stepper motor type) and the Throttle Position Sensor.
