Water Pump - Installation

5.7L/6.1L ENGINE





1. Install water pump and mounting bolts (2). Tighten mounting bolts to 28 Nm (20 ft. lbs.).
2. Make sure double ended bolt (3) is in the proper location. Tighten double ended bolt to 28 Nm (20 ft. lbs.).
3. Install thermostat Engine Coolant Thermostat - Installation.
4. Install accessory drive belt Accessory Drive Belt - Installation.
5. Install the radiator fan assembly Radiator Fan - Installation.
6. Connect negative battery cable.
7. Fill cooling system Service and Repair.
8. Pressure test cooling system Cooling System - Diagnosis and Testing.
