Engine Oil Pump - Installation







INSTALLATION





1. Prime oil pump (4) before installation by filling rotor cavity with clean engine oil.
2. Install oil pump (4) and gasket (3) carefully over the crankshaft. Position pump onto block and tighten bolts to 28 Nm (250 in. lbs.).




3. Install new O-ring (3) on oil pickup tube (1).
4. Install oil pickup tube (1).
5. Install oil pan. Engine Oil Pan - Installation
6. Install crankshaft sprocket. Timing Belt & Sprockets - Installation
7. Install timing belt. Timing Belt & Sprockets - Installation
8. Install the timing belt covers. Timing Cover - Installation




9. Install the crankshaft vibration damper (4). Vibration Damper - Installation
10. Install the accessory drive belt (6). Accessory Drive Belt - Installation
11. Fill the cooling system. Service and Repair
12. Fill engine crankcase with proper oil to the correct level.
