Center Mounted Brake Lamp - Removal

REMOVAL

SEDAN





1. Disconnect and isolate the battery negative cable.
2. From the inside of the deck lid (5), disconnect the body wire harness connector (3) from the connector receptacle integral to the back of the Center High Mounted Stop Lamp (CHMSL) housing (2).
3. Remove the two nuts (4) that secure the CHMSL to the two screw and retainer units (1) installed in the inner deck lid reinforcement.
4. Remove the CHMSL from the inside of the deck lid.

1. Remove the rear spoiler .
2. With the rear spoiler on bench, remove the fasteners and electrical connector from the CHMSL.
