Seat Belt Retractor - Installation

INSTALLATION

FRONT





1. Position the retractor into the vehicle, inserting the indexing tabs (1) into the slots on the body.
2. Install the front seat belt retractor retaining bolt (3). Tighten bolt to 32 Nm (24 ft. lbs.).
3. Connect the tensioner electrical squib connector (2).





4. Position the upper turning loop and install the two retaining bolts (1). Tighten bolt to 40 Nm (30 ft. lbs.).
5. Install the lower quarter trim panel.Quarter Trim Panel - Installation.





6. Install the two lower seat belt anchor bolts (1).

WARNING: Do not connect the battery negative cable Component Tests and General Diagnostics . If the system test is not performed first it may result in serious or fatal injury.


REAR





1. Position the retractor (4) into the vehicle by inserting the indexing tab up into the body.
2. Install the retractor mounting bolt (3). Tighten bolt to 32 Nm (24 ft. lbs.).





3. Install the upper turning loop retaining bolt (2). Tighten bolt to 40 Nm (30 ft. lbs.).





4. Install the upper quarter trim panel.Quarter Trim Panel - Installation.





5. Install the lower seat belt anchor (2) bolt (3). Tighten bolt to 32 Nm (24 ft. lbs.).

REAR CENTER





1. Place the rear center retractor (2) into position and install the retaining nut (1). Tighten nut to 34 Nm (25 ft. lbs.).





2. Install the rear shelf trim panel.Rear Shelf Panel - Installation.





3. Install the nut (3) to the seat belt lower anchor. Tighten nut to 34 Nm (25 ft. lbs.).
4. Install the rear seat cushion. Seat Cushion Cover - Installation.
