Door Smart Glass Self Cycling And/Or Battery Drain
OVERVIEW:
This bulletin involves checking the door latch build date (Julian date) and if necessary, replacing both door latch assemblies.
MODELS:
2011 (LC) Challenger
NOTE:
This bulletin applies to vehicles built prior to March 30, 2011 (MDH 0330XX).
SYMPTOM/CONDITION:
The customer may experience an intermittent condition where the door smart glass feature cycles on its own leading to battery drain. This condition is usually experienced when the vehicle is parked and ignition key off.
DIAGNOSIS:
If the customer is experiencing this condition, check the door latch build date (1) as shown in the graphic for both Right and Left doors (Fig. 1).
NOTE:
Door latch build dates can be visually checked once the door is opened without removing the latch assembly from the door.
1. Does either of the door latch build dates fall between Julian date 3200 (Nov 20th 2010) and 0841 (March 25th 2011)?
a. Yes >>> proceed to the Repair Procedure and replace the faulty latch and/or latches.
b. No >>> further diagnosis is required, this bulletin does not apply.

REPAIR PROCEDURE:
1. Replace the faulty door latch and/or latches. Refer to the detailed procedures available in DealerConnect > TechCONNECT > under: Service Info > 23-Body > Door - Front > LATCH, Door > Removal/Installation.
NOTE:
Door windows must be in the full upward position to perform the repair.

Reimbursable within the provisions of the warranty.
