Passenger Window Not Calibrated/Lost Calibration
PASSENGER WINDOW NOT CALIBRATED/LOST CALIBRATION
For a complete wiring diagram, refer to the Wiring Information.
NOTE: Anytime a window or window regulator is replaced, this procedure must be used. This condition may also happen when the battery or the door module connector is disconnected.
1. TEST FOR ANY DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES (DTCs) PRESENT
1. Turn the ignition on.
2. With the scan tool, record and erase the DTCs.
3. Operate the Passenger Window fully up and down several times.
4. Wait 30 seconds.
5. With the scan tool, read the DTCs.
Does the scan tool display any Power Window DTCs?
No
- Go To 2
Yes
- Perform the appropriate diagnostic procedure. Testing and Inspection
2. WINDOW MUST DROP
NOTE: The doors must be completely closed when starting this step.
1. Sit in the driver seat and close the door.
2. Lower the passenger window part of the way down.
3. Run the window to the full up position and continue to hold the switch for an additional two seconds.
4. Run the window to the full down position and continue to hold the switch for an additional two seconds.
5. Raise the window to the full up position.
6. Open the passenger door while observing the window,
Did the window lower approximately 1/4 inch when the door was opened?
No
- Go To 4
Yes
- Go To 3
3. WINDOW MUST RISE
1. Close the door and observe the window.
Did the window rise to the full up position when the door was closed?
No
- Go To 4
Yes
- Test complete.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST Body Verification Test.
4. DENORMALIZE ROUTINE
1. With the scan tool in "Miscellaneous Functions", perform the "Denormalize Window Command".
2. Sit in the driver seat and ensure the doors are closed.
3. Lower the passenger window part of the way down.
4. Run the window to the full up position and continue to hold the switch for an additional two seconds.
5. Run the window to the full down position and continue to hold the switch for an additional two seconds.
6. Raise the window to the full up position.
7. Open the passenger door and then close the door while observing the window,
Did the window lower approximately 1/4 inch when the door was opened and rise to the full up position when the door was closed?
No
- Replace the Passenger Door Module.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Body Verification Test.
Yes
- Test complete.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Body Verification Test.
