Axle Shaft Seal - Installation

INSTALLATION

Special Tools:










1. Using Installer (2), install NEW axle shaft seal (1). Lubricate the inside diameter with Mopar(R) Gear and Axle Lubricant 75W-140 to protect seal during halfshaft installation.
2. Install the rear axle assembly Installation.





3. Remove fill plug (1) to check and adjust rear axle fluid level. Top off axle with Mopar(R) Gear and Axle Lubricant 75W-140. Reinstall fill plug torque to 60 Nm (44 ft. lbs.) torque.
