Engine Cooling Radiator - Installation
RADIATOR - INSTALLATION
NOTE: Assistance may be required for radiator placement into vehicle till the lower radiator core support has been installed.
1. Position the radiator onto engine compartment.
2. Position the lower radiator core support in vehicle.
3. Loosely install the lower radiator core support (2) Bolts (1).
4. Seat the radiator assembly lower rubber isolators into the mounting holes in radiator lower support.
5. Lower the vehicle.
6. Install the upper shroud cover by applying pressure downwards till the snap into place.
7. Install the radiator mounting bracket (1) and bolts (2). Tighten to 12 Nm (106 in. lbs.).
8. Position the condenser on radiator and loosely install the support bolt (3).
9. Install the condensers upper and lower mounting bolts. Tighten bolts to 10 Nm (88 in. lbs.).
10. Tighten the support bolt (3) to 10 Nm (88 in. lbs.).
11. Install the air deflectors (1).
12. Position the hood latch release cable (2) through the notch in deflector.
13. Install the front bumper fascia Front Bumper Fascia - Installation.
14. Raise the vehicle.
15. Install the lower radiator hose (1) and clamp.
16. Install the lower engine cover.
17. Install the radiator fan Cooling Fan - Installation.
18. Install the upper radiator upper hose (2). Align hose so it does not interfere with the accessory drive belt or engine. Position hose clamp so it will not interfere with the hood.
19. Connect the negative cable.
20. Fill the cooling system with coolant Service and Repair.
21. Operate the engine until it reaches normal operating temperature. Check the cooling system and automatic transmission for the correct fluid levels.
