Sunroof - Installation






INSTALLATION






WARNING: The excessive force limitation (EFL) feature must be calibrated any time a sunroof motor/module is replaced with a new component. Failure to perform this procedure could result in vehicle damage and/or personal injury. for the appropriate procedure. Sunroof Position Calibration

1. Verify that glass panel is loose and slightly retracted.
2. Using two 12mm dowel pins, insert a dowel pin on each front side (2) of the sunroof assembly to aid in installing.
3. With the aid of a helper, raise the sunroof module assembly (1) and guide it carefully into position using the dowel pins in the front side (2) to locate.
4. Loosely install the attaching screws in the middle of the sunroof assembly (3) until snug. Do not tighten at this time
5. Remove the dowel pins from the front sides (2) of the sunroof module (1).





6. While supporting the sunroof assembly start the remaining 8 attaching screws and tighten the attaching screws to 9 Nm (80 in. lbs.) using the sequence shown.





7. Connect the electrical connector.





8. Connect the drain tubes to the sunroof (1).
9. Adjust the sunroof glass. Adjustments
10. Connect battery negative cable.
11. Install the vehicle headliner, Headliner - Installation.
12. Perform the sunroof position calibration, Sunroof Position Calibration
13. Perform the Excessive Force Limitation (EFL) calibration, Excessive Force Limitation (EFL) Calibration
14. Verify proper operation of the power sunroof system. Sunroof Position Calibration
