Tail Lamp - Installation

INSTALLATION

OUTER





1. Reconnect the body wire harness connector to the outer tail lamp (1) connector receptacle and position the lamp to the rear quarter panel (2) of vehicle.





2. Install and tighten the first plastic wing nut (1). Tighten the nut securely.





3. Restore the trunk carpeting (2).
4. Install and tighten the second wing nut (1). Tighten the nut securely.
5. On the left side only, if the vehicle is so equipped, reinstall the subwoofer into the trunk.
6. Reconnect the battery negative cable.

CENTER





1. Reconnect the body wire harness connector (2) to the center tail lamp connector receptacle.
2. Position the center tail lamp onto the deck lid.
3. Install the two push pin retainers (3) to the bottom of the center tail lamp.
4. Install and tighten the four wing nuts (1) that secure the lamp to the inside of the deck lid. Tighten the nuts securely.





5. Install and tighten the two screws (2) that secure each outboard end of the center tail lamp (3) to the deck lid (1). Tighten the screws to 3.5 Nm (30 in. lbs.).





6. Engage the hook (5) on the back of each close out cover (3) with the ledge at each outboard end of the center tail lamp (1) housing.
7. Slide the close out cover rearward far enough to engage the two latch features (4) with the inner deck lid reinforcement (2) and the center tail lamp housing.
8. Reconnect the battery negative cable.
