Tail Lamp - Removal






REMOVAL

OUTER





1. Disconnect and isolate the battery negative cable.
2. On the left side only, if the vehicle is so equipped, remove the subwoofer from the trunk.
3. From inside the trunk, remove the wing nut (1) and peel back the trunk trim (2).





4. Remove the remaining wing nut (1).





5. Remove the upper fascia trim cover (2) from the rear fascia (1).





6. Pull the outer tail lamp (1) straight out of the rear of the quarter trim panel (2) far enough to access and disconnect the body wire harness connector from the lamp connector receptacle.
7. Remove the outer tail lamp from the vehicle.

CENTER





1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable.
2. Open the deck lid (1).
3. Remove the close out cover (2) at each outboard end of the center tail lamp (3) by grasping the inside corner of the cover and pulling it toward the hinge at the front of the deck lid far enough to disengage the two latch features that secure it to the inner deck lid reinforcement and the center tail lamp housing.
4. Lift the close out cover upward slightly to disengage the hook on the back of the cover from the ledge on the outboard end of the center tail lamp housing.





5. Remove the two screws (2) that secure each outboard end of the center tail lamp (3) to the deck lid (1).





6. Remove the four wing nuts (1) that secure the lamp to the inside of the deck lid.
7. Remove the two push pin retainers (3). from the bottom of the center tail lamp unit.
8. Carefully pull the center tail lamp away from the deck lid far enough to access and disconnect the body wire harness connector (2) from the lamp connector receptacle.
9. Remove the center tail lamp from the vehicle.
