Outer Tie Rod






OUTER TIE ROD






CAUTION: When rotating inner tie rod, use care not to twist bellows at inner tie rod. Remove clamp at inner tie rod and make sure bellows moves freely before rotating inner tie rod.

1. Thread outer tie rod (5) onto inner tie rod (4). Install outer tie rod using same number of turns as when removed.
2. Install outer tie rod end (5) into steering knuckle (2). Install and tighten nut (1) to 35 Nm + 90° turn (26 ft. lbs. + 90° turn).





3. Install tire and wheel assemblies (1). Tighten wheel mounting nuts (3) to 150 Nm (110 ft. lbs.) . Tires And Wheels - Installation
4. Lower vehicle.
5. Perform wheel alignment setting toe to specifications Wheel Alignment Procedures.





6. Tighten tie rod jam nut (3) to 75 Nm (55 ft. lbs.).
