Extension Housing Seal - Installation

INSTALLATION

Special Tools:










1. Install output shaft seal into extension housing (1) with Installer (2).
2. Install propeller shaft.

CAUTION: The drive shaft strap bolts use a Loctite patch, the bolts must be replaced or cleaned and applied Mopar (R) Lock AND Seal Adhesive or equivalent. Replace drive shaft joint straps whenever they are removed. The straps slightly deform when torqued in place. Reuse of the straps may result in reduced clamp load on the universal joint cap.

3. Check transmission fluid level.
4. Install belly pan.
