Fig. 1 Axle hub removal. Colt Vista & Summit Wagon:

1. Remove axle hub in order as shown, noting the following:
a. Remove driveshaft nut from hub using tool No. MB990767 or equivalent.
b. Using tool No. MB991113 or equivalent, disconnect lower arm ball joint from knuckle. Tie cord of tool to nearby part, loosen nut but do not remove.
c. Using tool No. MB991113 or equivalent, disconnect tie rod from knuckle. Tie cord of tool to nearby part, loosen nut but do not remove.

d. Using tool No. MB990241 or equivalent, push out driveshaft from front hub.
2. Reverse procedure to install noting the following:

a. Install washer and driveshaft nut as shown.

b. Using tool No. MB990767 or equivalent, tighten driveshaft nut to specifications.

c. On vehicles with anti-lock brakes, install speed sensor to knuckle, insert feeler gauge into space between speed sensor pole piece and rotors toothed surface.
d. Obtain a reading between 0.012-0.035 inches, then tighten speed sensor.
