Left, Right, and Rear Mounts
Note: Engine hydro-mounts may show surface cracks this will not effect performance and mount should not be replaced. Only replace the engine hydro-mounts when leaking fluid:
- Drive shaft distress.
- Any front end structural damage (after repair).
- Insulator replacement.
Front - Left & Right
Removal
1. Raise vehicle on hoist.
2. Remove engine mount heat shield.
3. Remove the insulator attaching nuts from top of the mounting bracket.
4. Support the engine with a jack and a block of wood across the full width of the oil pan.
5. Remove the lower attaching nuts from the bottom of the insulator to the frame.
6. Raise engine carefully with jack enough to remove the insulator from its mount.
Installation
1. Install mount onto the frame.
2. Lower the engine onto the insulator mount.
3. Remove jack from vehicle.
4. Tighten the insulator to frame nuts to 61 Nm (45 ft. lbs.).
5. Install the upper attaching nuts to mount and tighten to 61 Nm (45 ft. lbs.).
6. Install heat shield and lower vehicle.
Rear
1. Raise vehicle on hoist.
2. Support the transmission with a transmission jack.
3. Remove the insulator through bolt from the mount.
4. Remove the transmission mount fasteners and remove mount.
5. Reverse removal procedure for installation.
