Evaporative Emission Control Canister: Testing and Inspection

SIMPLE INSPECTION OF CHECK VALVE INSIDE CANISTER
1. Connect clean rubber hoses to the nipples on the inlet side and outlet side.
2. Close off the other nipple with your finger and then check the operation of the check valve.

Inspection procedure Normal condition

Lightly blow from inlet Air passes through with a
side (fuel tank side) slight feeling of resistance.

Lightly blow from outlet Air passes through.
side (atmosphere side).
