Code No.44 SRS warning light drive circuit system (when warning light is ON)

[Explanation]

The SRS-ECU monitors the SRS warning light drive circuit and outputs this code when a trouble in the warning light drive circuit is detected.

Probable cause of trouble

Defective SRS-ECU

Caution

After the ignition switch has been placed at the LOCK position and the negative (-) terminal of the battery has been disconnected, wait for more than 60 seconds before starting work. Wind a tape around the disconnected (-) terminal for insulation.

Since a defective SRS warning light drive circuit in the SRS-ECU is suspected, replace the SRS-ECU.
