TIP: In order to make it easy to remove the water pump pulley, loosen the pulley mounting bolt with the belt attached beforehand.

WATER PUMP REPLACEMENT
1. Drain cooling system into a suitable container.
2. Remove timing belt as outlined under Timing Belt, Replace.
3. Remove alternator brace, water pump, gasket and O-ring, Fig. 53.
4. Reverse procedure to install, installing water pump bolts in locations shown in Fig. 55.
