Removal

REMOVAL






CAUTION: Verify the level of fuel in the fuel tank. If needed, Transfer fuel into an approved fuel storage container.

1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable.
2. Remove the gas cap (1).
3. Remove the four screws (2) that secure the filler tube (3) opening to the body.






NOTE: Left rear splash shield shown, right rear splash shield similar.

4. Raise and support the vehicle Maintenance.
5. Remove the right rear wheel splash shield Splash Shield - Removal.





6. Remove the vent hose.
7. Loosen the clamp that secures the filler tube (1) assembly to the gas tank (3).
8. Remove the bolt (2) the secures the filler neck to the vehicle.
9. Remove the filler neck from the vehicle.
10. Remove the connector hose (5) from the fuel filler tube by releasing the hose clamp (6).
